How to launch my website?

You are looking for someone to build your personal website, portfolio, your company website or marketing websites. Or you want to get a redesign and change it to responsive web design. Or, you want to incorporate best user experience (UX) practices but don't know where to start looking. Or you want to customize a template you bought from ThemeForrest or WrapBootstrap. You have an list of favorite sites and some similar sites that your like. You want to ensure it's easy to manage. Easy to change content of your website. You want someone who can guide you on the technical difficulties. Nothing to worry, we are ready to help out.

Step 1: Planning stage

You have to be clear on your goals, what you want to achieve.

A few questions you need to ask yourself first before jumping immediately on letting someone develop you idea:

  • What is the purpose of my website?
  • Who are my target audience?
  • What industry I am focusing on? (i.e. game, ecommerce, travel, etc.)
  • How much is my budget?
  • What is my desired timeline?

Normally, your idea is vague from the start. You have an idea on what you like to achieve but don't know how to bounce off the ideas. Here's a method on how we can strip down your ideas to make it a clear functionality. We often refer to it as user stories.

So for the planning stage, we will do it together. You formulate your lists on functionalities/features you like into User Stories and we will make a blueprint on what will be done.

Here's a sample format of a User Story

As a <"type of user">, I want <"some goal"> so that <"some reason">.

A few examples on how to formulate a User Story:

  • As a professional, I want to highlight my skills and capabilities so that I can attract future employers or customers.
  • As a professional, I want to blog about certain topics so that I can share my knowledge to my subscribers.
  • As a company, we want to manage our company website so that we can keep it updated on our product offerings.

From these user stories, we will break it down to workflows that will be implemented. And the only thing you would need to do is approve whether that is correct or improve the workflow from the additional thoughts you have.

Step 2: Design, Mockups and Wireframes

This is an important step in project planning because this is where we cement our ideas together. You would understand the workflows better and the features that will be implemented. Take note: We take wireframes seriously and this is for your own sake.

Step 3 - Start Development

With wireframes ready and approved, we start with development. We will provide you a link where you can get updates real-time and you access anywhere, on any device, so you get to know the progress of the project.

Step 4 - Deploy Project

You choose what server you want to use: Heroku, AWS, Windows Azure? Depending on what your web app is, we will give you the best advice on how to keep your server costs low, maintanable and manageable. In that way, we take away your worry on technical issues.
